The founder of Sahan Development Consulting Firm, Dr. Abduselam A. Mohamed, has been nominated as the Global Forum for Sustainable Rural Development’s (GFSRD) country director for Ethiopia. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Indian government has registered the Global Forum for Sustainable Rural Development as a not-for-profit organization under Section 8/15. The goal of the GFSRD, an ISO-9001:2015 accredited organization, is to provide a global platform that brings together policies, practices, and research related to rural development under one umbrella while advancing sustainable rural development. Six continents are home to GFSRD’s branch offices and 130 countries’ worth of directors. GFSRD is a global participant forum for sustainable development. Becoming a country director for such a big organization or forum is tough, and Dr. Abduselam has earned this credit as country director of Ethiopia.
