The Vice-Chancellors of UNISA and Makerere University, Prof Puleng LenkaBula and Prof Barnabas Nawangwe have signed a The Vice-Chancellors of Unisa and Makerere University, Prof Puleng @LenkaBula and Prof Barnabas Nawangwe have signed a comprehensive MOU on Monday 13th January 2025 in Kampala, Uganda.

The MOU will afford all Unisa Colleges and schools together with their counterparts at Makerere an opportunity to conceptualize and implement projects that respond to teaching, learning, research and engaged scholarship needs and champion Unisa’s 10 catalytic niche areas. The signing of the MOU was a crucial highlight of the 75th Graduation ceremony hosted by Makerere, where Prof LenkaBula delivered a commencement speech. This partnership affirms Unisa’s internationalisation strategy of expanding its footprint in the continent and cementing its position as one of the leading knowledge producers, shaping Africa’s intellectual futures.
